April 05 – Moving on to Arras

Today we are off to our next town, the town of Arras.  This town is also near the Belgian border and was right on the front during World War I.

Pretty drive with lots of rape fields in brilliant yellow.

A colorful water tower somewhere along the way.

And a sculpture in a roundabout.

We also passed this World War I cemetery.  We have seen a few of these in the countryside.

A huge sign of greeting when we arrived in Arras.

We were checked into our by mid-afternoon.  We have good views of the belfry and Arras from our hotel room.
