We slept in a bit and awakened to overcast skies. It looked like it had rained overnight but no rain right now. Mary worked on photos and the blog in the morning while Paul worked on videos and some final tax issues.
At lunchtime it was clearing up so we walked over to the Le Tréport waterfront and found the fish market. It was late in the day for much activity in a fish market. They are usually most active first thing in the morning. But there were a few customers and a couple of the vendors still had a lot of products on display.
Then it was time for lunch. Most of the restaurants here specialize in seafood, which neither of us like. But the restaurant we selected had crepes, which are always good. We each stuck with a savory crepe and passed on the sweets, as much as we would have liked a sweet one.

On the way back we saw some small fishing boats sailing into the harbor and into the locks.
Then it was an afternoon of work...a little laundry, a little photo work, and finalizing the tax issues.
Mid-afternoon
the sun came out so we headed out in the car to the top of the cliffs at the
end of the Mers-Les-Bain beach. Great
views up there.
There was an old German bunker from World War II that had been brightly painted.
And a statue of Our Lady of the Cliff.
On the drive down the hill we passed this pretty brick church. The Church of Saint Martin.
Then we drove into the nearby town of Eu to visit the cathedral.
The cathedral had a number of these framed carvings along the side walls.
There was an adjacent chateau that looked impressive, but it was closed. We may try it another day.
We then found a
small Turkish restaurant for dinner.
