June 15 – Day of Leisure

We spent the entire day at the room.  It is quite hot outside today.  France is undergoing the second heat wave since we have been here. 

We are finding that one of our biggest challenges in France is the food.  Paul is vegetarian and often they only have one or two vegetarian items on the menu.  And he gets tired of crepes, veggie burgers and salads all the time.  And Mary doesn't like seafood and the menus along the coast were heavy with it.  And now that we are in the Périgord area of France it is all foie gras and duck, which she also isn't crazy about.  

So, today she made taco soup and egg salad sandwiches.  Favorite foods and with the heat we didn’t even need to go outside for meals.
