The plan today was to take a day trip to Chateau de Fougères. When we got there we found out it was closed that day. We took a few photos and decided it was worth the drive and would visit it later when open.
So, we decided to go to the small town of Dinan. This medieval village had loads of charm and was very walkable.
Saint Malo Church.
One of the lovely murals at the entrance to the church.
Photos of the church interior.
There was a lot of beautiful stained-glass throughout the church.
Some of the church treasures.
The City Hall.
From City Hall we caught the Le Petit Train for a ride around the town.
The ride also took us to Lower Dinan in the valley below. This area was very charming as well.
There was a huge viaduct that spanned the valley.
The train ride took us by the chateau and ended a short distance away at City Hall. So, after getting off the train we walked back to the chateau and spent some time exploring it.

Some views of Dinan and the surrounding area from the chateau ramparts.

We eventually picked up the car and headed down to the lower town. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find any parking so we just headed on back to St. Malo.
