Off early today for a two-hour drive to the medieval walled city of Carcassonne. We visited years ago and Mary opted to skip the trip. Mainly because she was uncertain if she could manage the walks around the old city. They had about an hour in the city before the two-hour drive back.

They also stopped at the Basilica of St. Nazair.

Some very interesting souvenirs in a shop window. Not sure what they have to do with Carcassonne except that they definitely have a medieval feel.
They also had a visit to the nearby cemetery. Very old and very interesting.

Then it was the two hour drive through the countryside...
and back to the boat and more cruising.

Today was our last day onboard. Tomorrow the cruise ends. Too bad. It has been lovely although very hot.
