We are enjoying four full days in Honfleur, combining work with sightseeing. Our accommodations are a three story home and the first floor is a kitchen with a very large table. This gives us lots of room to set up our computers and get work done.
Some photos
from our many walks around Honfleur.
The Bell Tower and plaza just down the street.
We walked by the Honfleur harbor many times.
On the 26th
we took the harbor cruise that actually went out into the Seine estuary.

There wasn’t a lot to see but we did have distant views of the harbor in Le Havre.
And the cruise took us under the Pont de Normandy Bridge. It's a beautiful and very dramatic bridge.
The cruise took us by the Honfleur beach. We didn't even know that Honfleur had a beach. Guess we didn't go far enough in our wanderings. It looked to be sandy instead of pebbles.
On the 27th we walked up to the Eugène Boudin Museum. Eugène Boudin was a French painter that was born in Honfleur and spent much of his life painting the landscapes, harbor and people of the area. He is considered a forerunner of the Impressionists. The museum was small but very nice with wonderful paintings.
There were many
interesting paintings by Boudin himself

as well as many other artists. The subject of many of them was Honfleur.

This detail from Hospice Lighthouse, Honfleur by Lalanne could be a modern painting on its own.

There was also a large room where the art of school children was displayed.

One day, while wandering, we found the town library. It is very modern with lots of glass.
Sainte Catherine's Church.
And, the front of our hotel. The hotel is on Saint Catherine’s Plaza. It is lovely with beautiful greenery on the front.
