We made the drive back to Beaulieu sur Dordorgne for our 10:30 cruise on the Dordogne. The commentary was in French but they gave us a English translation of the commentary. Basically, the Dordogne was only navigable for a couple months out of the year. The boat crews would deliver goods downstream and then disassemble the boats for firewood or parts and would walk back home. What a life.
But the cruise was so relaxing and a nice change of pace. And the reflections in the water were like mirrors.

When we got back to Gramat we wandered through the town a bit looking for a lunch place. There actually wasn’t much available so we headed to the nearby Carrefour, a supermarket chain, and bought food for a picnic. The hotel staff let us eat on the terrace.
And we took a lot of photos of the hotel décor. It is very bohemian and eclectic.
